On the occasion of the 28th International Pig Veterinary Society (IPVS) Congress 2026 taking place in Vietnam, BAF Vietnam and Elanco organized an in-depth meeting and discussion with a delegation of leading Chinese scientists and livestock experts.
African swine fever (ASF) remains one of the greatest challenges to the global livestock industry. Both Vietnam and China are swine production powerhouses and have accumulated extensive practical experience in the battle against this disease. Therefore, this exchange is not only a connecting bridge but also a golden opportunity for both sides to share the most optimal defense solutions.
During the working session, BAF Vietnam and the experts discussed the following key focuses:
- 🛡️ Upgrading the biosecurity system: Sharing models of isolation, disinfection, and entry/exit management at farms, smart testing systems, air filtration, and more.
- 🔬 Updating veterinary progress & technology: Discussing testing methods, early diagnosis, and technological solutions applied in ASF prevention and control.
- 🌟 International cooperation and knowledge sharing are the firmest keys for the livestock industry to overcome all disease challenges.
With a sustainable development philosophy based on the closed 3F (feed-farm-food) chain, BAF Vietnam proactively pioneers new technologies and continuously learns from international experts.
