MS Schippers and Ruiqi Biotechnology have entered a strategic partnership aimed at advancing hygiene standards and strengthening biosecurity practices across the livestock industry.

By combining MS Schippers’ global experience in professional farm hygiene with Ruiqi Biotechnology’s strong manufacturing capabilities in China, the collaboration will accelerate the development and delivery of practical solutions and products for farmers.

A shared commitment to smarter farming

The partnership will focus on five core areas:

Together, the companies aim to help farmers improve farm conditions, reduce dependency on antibiotics, and create measurable improvements in animal performance.

“This collaboration allows us to combine global hygiene know-how with strong local execution,” said Mark Schippers, CEO of MS Schippers.

“By improving processes and routines on farms, we can significantly reduce antibiotic use and support healthier, more efficient livestock operations.”

Local strength, global standards

Wolong district, Nanyang City will serve as the primary production hub for joint activities, supporting customers not only in China, but also throughout Southeast Asia and the Pacific.

The partnership enables the companies to deliver products and expertise faster, while ensuring that global quality and compliance standards are consistently maintained.

“Wolong is committed to supporting innovation and sustainable development in livestock production. Partnerships like this one demonstrate how industry expertise and local capabilities can drive real improvements on farms. We welcome initiatives that bring international knowledge to our region and create practical benefits for farmers, animals, and the broader agricultural economy,” said Liu Hongtao, Deputy Party Secretary and District Governor of Wolong District.

Zhang Shaozheng, Chairman of Ruiqi Biotechnology, added: “This partnership enhances our R&D strength and enables us to provide practical, sustainable biosecurity solutions for farms across China.”

Leadership and regional coordination

The cooperation will be managed internationally by Terry Emonds, Regional Director APAC at MS Schippers, who oversees strategic development and partnerships throughout Asia.

In China, Clarissa Bao, Country Lead for MS Schippers, will coordinate daily activities with Ruiqi Biotechnology, align local partners, and ensure that global hygiene and biosecurity standards are translated into practical, on-farm routines.

Turning ideas into impact

Rather than focusing on theoretical concepts, the companies are committed to implementing solutions directly on farms, where results matter.

From cleaner facilities to healthier animals and easier-to-use hygiene systems, the collaboration aims to deliver real improvements to livestock producers worldwide.

With global pressure mounting to reduce antimicrobial use in livestock production, the MS Schippers-Ruiqi Biotechnology partnership represents a timely and practical response.

Rather than relying on theoretical models or policy statements, both companies are placing their focus where it matters most: inside the barn, next to the animals, and alongside the people who manage them every day.
