Tarlac Meatmasters has become the first multi-meat processing establishment in the Philippines to receive AAA licenses across three major categories.
The facility, operated by Pilmico Farms—a subsidiary of Aboitiz Foods—secured its latest AAA accreditation for Cold Storage Warehouse from the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) in August 2025.
This follows earlier recognitions for its slaughterhouse in 2021 and the meat cutting plant in 2023.
Located in Bamban, Tarlac province in Central Luzon, the facility was established in 2020. It specializes in pork processing using advanced equipment.
The AAA rating is the highest standard given by the NMIS to meat establishments in the country. Facilities with this rating meet international benchmarks and are HACCP-certified, making their products suitable for global markets.
Only eight slaughterhouses and ten meat cutting plants nationwide hold AAA status, underscoring the rarity of this achievement.
Commitment to quality and safety
“We take great pride in Tarlac Meatmasters for achieving this significant milestone,” said Hendel Cabral, Aboitiz Foods First Vice President of Meat Division. “This reflects the team’s dedication to pursuing shared wins for quality and food safety standards.”
He added that as the first facility in the Philippines to earn this distinction, Tarlac Meatmasters continues to uphold excellence and push industry standards forward. This achievement reinforces customer confidence in Pilmico Farm’s commitment to delivering safe and high-quality meat products.
The facility also holds six HACCP certifications from the NMIS.
