The US Soybean Export Council (USSEC) has announced a new regional structure to enhance efficiency and better serve international customers.
As part of the reorganization, Carlos Salinas has been appointed Executive Director for East Asia, effective October 1. Based in Shanghai, China, he will lead efforts to build trust, strengthen relationships, and expand market access across the region.
USSEC East Asia covers Australia, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

USSEC’s new structure is designed to:

Global agribusiness experience
Mr Salinas has over 25 years of experience in international trade and agribusiness. His background includes leadership roles at Continental Grain, Bunge, and ADM.
He has worked in the US, Germany, Brazil, Singapore, and Mexico. Most recently, he served as USSEC’s Regional Director for the Americas.
