Da Guang Food Group plans to expand pig breeding and livestock production in Cambodia’s Preah Sihanouk province.

Chinese agribusiness company Da Guang Food Group, with core business in pig breeding and livestock production, is planning to expand into Cambodia.
The company intends to establish a major livestock and food processing operation in Preah Sihanouk, a coastal province.
The proposal was discussed during a meeting between Governor Mang Sineth and a delegation led by Chea Kok Hong, joined by Da Guang CEO Zhan Shengxun.
Strategy and focus
Da Guang Food Group operates across five provinces in China, specializing in pig breeding, animal feed production, and meat processing.
CEO Zhan Shengxun said Cambodia, particularly Preah Sihanouk, is a priority destination under the company’s 2026–2030 international strategy.
“Our focus is on introducing high-quality livestock into the Cambodian market, including pigs, poultry, and eggs,” Mr Zhan stated.
He added that the province’s climate and logistical advantages make it ideal for large-scale agricultural production that meets environmental standards.
Development plans
Mr Sineth welcomed the investment interest, noting Preah Sihanouk’s transformation into a Model Multi-Purpose Special Economic Zone.
The provincial master plan divides the region into four strategic zones:
Infrastructure and connectivity
Mr Sineth highlighted the province’s strong combination of land, sea, and air transport.
“The success of our investors is the success of the provincial administration,” Mr Sineth said, pledging support for technical requirements and environmental compliance.
The potential investment represents a major step in Cambodia’s efforts to modernize its agricultural sector through foreign direct investment and advanced technology transfer.
