Under its plan, the joint venture seeks to raise total investment in Gia Lai to about USD 106.2 million.
The joint venture of De Heus and Hung Nhon is planning a series of large-scale projects in Gia Lai province, covering livestock farming, processing, and raw materials.
Pham Anh Tuan, Gia Lai People’s Committee Chairman, recently met executives from the two companies to discuss cooperation plans and the expansion of high-tech agricultural projects in the province during the 2025-2030 period.
He stressed the province’s full support for integrated production chain projects. Gia Lai currently lacks large-scale slaughtering, processing, and feed facilities, and encouraged investments in major processing plants linked to raw material areas and export markets.

Livestock farm and feedmill development
The joint venture is investing around USD 37.93 million in the DHN Gia Lai high-tech livestock farm in Ia Le commune, built to European technological standards.
Construction began in May 2024. Phase one is already operational, and the full project is expected to be completed by Q1 2026.
Once fully operational, the farm will supply Gia Lai and the Central Highlands with about 24,000 high-quality breeds annually.
To support disease-free raw material areas for local livestock development, De Heus has also operated a feedmill at An Nhon Industrial Park in Gia Lai since 2015, with a yearly capacity of 150,000-200,000 tons.
The company plans further expansion and additional projects to meet rising livestock demand and help farmers market their products more effectively.
Future projects
The joint venture aims to raise total investment in Gia Lai to about USD 106.2 million. Future projects will meet international standards and export requirements for the EU, Japan, South Korea, and the Middle East.
Gia Lai has strong potential for corn cultivation. The two companies currently purchase about 100,000 tons annually, valued at USD 23-38 million.
The joint venture has asked provincial authorities to support policies that accelerate large-scale corn-growing areas through linkages with local agricultural cooperatives. This will ensure stable supply, traceability, and sustainable livelihoods for farmers.
To optimize costs and supply high-quality feed to its farms and export markets, the joint venture plans another feedmill in Gia Lai. It seeks about five hectares of land in an industrial zone for a project worth roughly USD 30 million.
Hung Nhon separately plans to invest in additional high-tech breeding farms for pigs and poultry, proposing 25-50 hectares of land for projects valued at USD 30-38 million.
Hung Nhon Group
Headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, Hung Nhon Group specializes in high-tech livestock farming, mainly in the Central Highlands and southeastern Vietnam.
Its operations span large-scale animal husbandry, feed production, biological products, and ISO- and GlobalGAP-compliant processing.
De Heus
De Heus, a global feed producer, has pioneered integrated agricultural value chains and export-ready livestock and aquaculture products.
Since entering Vietnam in 2009, it has steadily built a strong presence across Asia. The company now operates 23 factories in Vietnam, including 14 acquired from Vietnamese conglomerate Masan.
