Japfa Vietnam reaffirms sustainable livestock commitment

The company is strengthening sustainable livestock strategy through farmer partnerships, Central Highlands investments, and transparent operations across the value chain.

Japfa Vietnam reaffirms sustainable livestock commitment

Japfa Comfeed Vietnam continues to reinforce its long-term commitment to sustainable livestock development through strategic investments, close cooperation with farmers, and transparent engagement with partners.

Building trust through partnership and innovation

On January 27-28, 2026, the company hosted its annual Customer Conference 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City, welcoming more than 300 customers and strategic partners from southern Vietnam.

Amid rising production costs, stricter biosecurity requirements, and growing expectations for sustainability, the conference reaffirmed Japfa’s philosophy of partnership as the foundation for stable and efficient growth.

Speaking at the event, Clemens Tan, CEO of Japfa Vietnam, emphasized the company’s consistent approach over nearly three decades of operations in the country.

“Throughout our 30 years in Vietnam, Japfa has remained steadfast in nurturing long-term, sustainable relationships. Only through transparency, shared value creation, and long-term cooperation can businesses and customers achieve common prosperity and sustainable development,” he said.

The conference updated partners on business direction, introduced new technologies, shared technical solutions, and provided guidance on regulations related to antibiotic use in animal feed.

Japfa also recognized high-performing agents and honored distributors who have partnered with the company for 10, 15, and 20 years.

Central Highlands: A hub for high-tech livestock

Beyond commercial partnerships, Japfa has steadily expanded its footprint in the Central Highlands, a region viewed as vital for long-term livestock development.

According to Mr Tan, favorable government policies, abundant land, suitable climate, and strong local support make the region particularly attractive for high-tech agriculture investment.

Japfa currently operates an integrated poultry production network in the Central Highlands, working with more than 120 contract farmers under a processing-based farming model.

In 2022, the company inaugurated a modern poultry hatchery in Dak Lak with a designed annual capacity of 40 million chicks, equipped with advanced In-Ovo vaccination technology.

Japfa also invested in a high-tech colored chicken PS farm with a capacity of 100,000 birds in the same province.

Nationwide, Japfa Vietnam is now working with nearly 600 farming households, supplying the market with more than 40 million colored broiler chickens annually. The company plans further expansion in the coming years.

Farmer-centered integrated production model

Farmers remain central to Japfa’s closed-loop livestock ecosystem. Under its contract farming model, the company provides day-old chicks, feed, technical support, biosecurity supervision, and output guarantees.

It also facilitates access to low-interest financing through partner banks.

Farmers focus on animal care according to standardized procedures, while Japfa oversees harvesting and compensates them based on productivity and performance.

This model encourages long-term cooperation and supports rural development. Japfa also invests in training, enabling farmers to adopt modern technologies and improve farm management skills.

Commitment to sustainability and compaliance

Environmental responsibility is integrated into Japfa’s operational strategy. The company focuses on improving efficiency, minimizing energy waste, and applying continuous improvement practices across its value chain.

All Japfa-affiliated farms are equipped with biogas systems to manage livestock waste while generating renewable energy.

Beyond environmental benefits, Japfa’s operations create jobs and support social welfare through technology transfer and skills development in local community.

In line with its transparency commitment, Japfa Vietnam will undergo inspection by the Government Inspectorate in Q3 2026. The review will cover compliance with food safety, environmental protection, and water resource regulations from 2024 onward.

Japfa has pledged full compliance with Vietnamese laws and continues strengthening internal control systems to ensure food safety and sustainable production.

In 2025, Japfa Vietnam was named among the Top 10 Most Reputable High-Tech Agriculture Companies and the Top 10 Most Reputable Animal Feed Companies by Vietnam Report.

These accolades reflect the company’s stable operational performance, strong market credibility, and effectiveness of its long-term development strategy in Vietnam.
