This expansion is expected to significantly boost breeder production and help meet the growing demand for high-quality pork across the country.
Venvi Agro-Industrial Ventures, an integrated swine producer in the Philippines, will expand its sow population from 4,000 to 5,250 sows—a 31% increase that is expected to significantly boost breeder production and help meet the growing demand for high-quality pork across the country.
This expansion is part of Venvi’s renewed agreement with PIC Philippines, a swine genetics supplier. The two parties recently renewed their long-standing partnership, marking over a decade of collaboration dedicated to advancing the Philippine swine industry.
The contract extension reaffirms shared commitment of both parties to rebuilding and strengthening local swine production through innovation, sustainability, and world-class genetics.
Over the past 10 years, this partnership has played a pivotal role in improving herd performance, supporting local farmers, and enhancing national food security.
“We are honored to continue this journey with Venvi,” said Vino Borromeo, General Manager of PIC Philippines.
“Together, we’ve made great strides over the past decade, and we’re excited about what the future holds for Philippine agriculture.”
Janice Mauricio, Supply Chain Manager of PIC Philippines, added: “I strongly believe that this extension is more than a contract—it’s a continuation of a trusted relationship built on shared values and results. We are excited to continue partnering with Venvi to help rebuild a stronger, more resilient swine industry.”
This renewed alliance is expected to deliver lasting impact across the swine sector—empowering communities, supporting local livelihoods, and ensuring a more secure and sustainable pork supply chain for the Philippines.
