Beginning late June, a wave of animal feed price cuts swept across Vietnam’s market.
Leading feed producers in Vietnam have rolled out nationwide price reductions and promotional programs, offering livestock and poultry producers some relief from rising production costs after a volatile first half of 2026.
Following months of fluctuations, feed prices began easing in late June and by early July, a broader wave of cuts gathered pace. Major players, including CP Vietnam, De Heus, ANT, Haid, Greenfeed, Japfa, Dabaco, Tongwei and BGF, announced discounts across a wide range of feed products. Most reductions averaged around USD 0.008/kg, though some companies offered deeper cuts on selected lines.
BGF was among the first to implement the new pricing policy, introducing a USD 0.008/kg reduction across all feed products from July 1 at its facilities in Hung Yen, Binh Dinh, and Vinh Long. CP Vietnam followed with new prices on July 8, lowering layer feed by USD 0.006/kg and most other livestock and poultry feed products by USD 0.008/kg.
Greenfeed Vietnam offered direct discounts from July 7-11, cutting pig, broiler, and cattle feed by USD 0.008/kg, while layer feed prices dropped by USD 0.006/kg. Japfa Comfeed Vietnam reduced pig and broiler feed prices by USD 0.007/kg beginning July 13, and and cut layer, quail, and cattle feed prices by USD 0.006/kg.
Dabaco – Kinh Bac implemented new pricing on July 11, cutting prices of feed for laying hen, laying duck, laying quail and replacement stock by USD 0.006/kg. Concentrate feeds and most other livestock and poultry feed products products received reductions of up to USD 0.008/kg.
Meanwhile, Anco/Proconco launched a month-long promotional program in July, offering discounts of up to USD 0.015/kg on selected products, with most poultry feed lines reduced by USD 0.008/kg.
Several manufacturers introduced differentiated pricing based on animal species and production stage. ANT reduced pig and meat poultry feed by USD 0.008/kg from July 9, while layer feed dropped by USD 0.006/kg.
HAID Hai Duong implemented new prices on July 11, reducing sow feed by USD 0.004/kg, other pig feed by USD 0.006/kg, duck feed by USD 0.006/kg, broiler feed by USD 0.005/kg, and layer chicken and duck feed by USD 0.003/kg.
Tongwei Hoa Binh introduced reductions on July 13, reducing pig and broiler feed prices by USD 0.008/kg, meat duck feed by USD 0.006/kg, and layer duck feed by USD 0.004/kg.
The price-cutting wave extended beyond multinational firms. Regional manufacturers and joint ventures also lowered prices during July.
VinaFeed Northern Vietnam introduced discounts of up to USD 0.031/kg for its specialized Product 440 from July 2, while other products dropped by USD 0.008/kg. APPE JV Vietnam cut layer and replacement poultry feed by USD 0.005/kg from July 7, with aquaculture and other feeds reduced by USD 0.008/kg.
Viet Nhat Group lowered pig feed by USD 0.008/kg and poultry feed by USD 0.006/kg from July 13. CNC International Nutrition JSC also reduced prices by USD 0.008/kg across its portfolio from July 2.
Livestock and poultry producers are expected to benefit from lower input costs, helping improve efficiency and stabilize production after months of volatility.
